Focus Four
Reclaim your day with just four priorities.
A long list hides the one task that matters. When every task looks equal, you pick the easy ones and the important ones slide. Focus Four gives each task a clear place, so your first glance tells you where to start.
Everything sorts into Must Do, Important, Should Do and Later. You see what matters, finish it, and let the rest carry forward without guilt.
- 4 priority levels
- 0 accounts or sign ups
- 0 ads, trackers or analytics
- 1 calm board for today
One board. One glance. Four places for everything.
The idea
Four levels, nothing more
Every task gets one of four places. That is the whole system.
Must Do
Urgent and important. Deadlines, bills and things that cannot slip.
Important
The work that moves your life forward, without a clock ticking.
Should Do
Useful tasks that deserve a slot once the big ones are moving.
Later
Park it safely. It stays on your board until you are ready.
What it does
How the day runs
Capture
Add a task in seconds. Type a title, tap a priority, save.
Today board
One board, one glance, with live counts, filtering and drag-to-reorder.
Carry forward
Unfinished is not failed. Tasks move to the next day, and you see a preview before the rollover.
A finish line that feels good
A soft confirmation when you complete something. No streaks, no points, no pressure.
Insights
See your week honestly, with weekly and monthly summaries of completed, open and archived work.
History
Completed and archived work is kept, and you can reopen or restore any task.
Made for
Who it is for
Anyone whose task list has stopped helping: too long to read, too flat to prioritise, and quietly guilt-inducing by the end of the week.
It is deliberately quiet software. There are no streaks, no points and no reminders, because the board is meant to be something you look at, not something that chases you.
Your information
Your tasks stay on your phone
Everything lives in a private database on your device, and the app is fully offline.
No account, ever
No email, no password, no profile. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing held anywhere else.
No analytics of any kind
No analytics, no ad identifiers and no crash reporting. Android cloud backup is switched off for the app.
Almost no permissions
Only optional vibration for completion feedback. No storage, contacts or location access.
Backups you control
Export a JSON backup file from Settings and restore it yourself, with a preview and confirmation before anything is replaced.
Worth knowing
- Thoughtful recovery is part of the design: restore a task from the archive, preview a backup before restoring it, repair dates if the phone clock jumps, and keep a draft if a save fails.
- Light and navy themes follow your device settings, reduced motion preferences are respected, and the day rollover is time zone aware.
